This Thunder Hawk junior high football camp is open to any students who will be entering 7th or 8th grade in the Fall of 2026. Emphasis will be put on fundamental skills that will apply to any junior high football player at all positions.

Preschool Shrimp: Recommended for ages 4&5, parents are NOT required to be in the water or stay for the lesson. Join Occupational Therapist Annika from Discovery your Sisu Therapy Services, LLC and our Licensed ECFE staff for a fun, hands-on class designed for children and their caregivers. Through play-based activities, children will explore ways to strengthen the small muscles in their hands and develop important fine motor skills needed for future writing success. Parents will learn why pre-handwriting skills matter, how everyday activities support development, and simple ideas to continue building these skills at home. Come play, learn, and discover how little hands develop the strength and coordination needed for big learning

The Major League program is open to boys and girls who were in Grades 4-6 during the 2025-2026 school year. The program includes in-town practices and games, and game days against MRVED towns. In honor of Veterans’ Day, learn the stories of some of the 72 Minnesota men who have been awarded the Medal of Honor, dating from the Civil War to the Vietnam Conflict. Meet the Schoolmaster who took his students to war, dooming their hometown to oblivion; a Hungarian Freedom Fighter who signed up to fight Commies in Vietnam; the Anoka hometown hero who smothered a grenade and lived to tell the tale, and a host of other brave men who fought and died for their Country. The Montevideo Area Community Band brings together musicians of all ages and experience levels to share the joy of making music. Whether you're a current musician, a former band member dusting off your instrument after many years, or someone looking for a fun and rewarding musical outlet, you'll find a welcoming place here.The band performs a variety of music throughout the year. Membership is open to adults and high school students with previous band experience. There are no auditions—just a love of music and a desire to play! Whether you perform regularly or haven't picked up your instrument in decades, you are encouraged to join us!Fall rehearsals begin Monday, September 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Montevideo Middle School Band Room. Have a fun time sticking, splashing, or smacking your way into the pool as you participate in this year’s Summer dive camp! This camp is a great opportunity for young athletes to become familiar with the sport of diving or for current divers to hone their skills before their next swim & dive season. These practices will follow immediately after our Montevideo Swim Club practices. Participants can expect to review many of the basic skills necessary to build a strong foundation for any diver while building up their strength and flexibility in the air and on the board. They will also be given advice and instruction that caters to their specific strengths and abilities. Each diver should enter this camp with the goal of learning a handful of new dives and techniques before the end of the summer. **No camp July 4-10.** Tuesdays and Thursdays June 16-July 23 8:50 AM - 9:45 AM High School Pool

Let's Play! This class is designed to give your child(ren) and you an opportunity to socialize and connect with others through play. This class is a non-separating, open free playtime with organized projects. Come join the fun! (Must have 5 minimum registered to hold the class.)

We are excited to announce a partnership with the NFL to bring an official NFL Flag Football league to Montevideo open to boys and girls in grades 1-6. Participants will receive their own flag belt and set of flags along with their own reversible jersey. Footballs and playbooks will be provided. If you are interested in coaching a team, please reach out to Ethan Matvick, ematvick@montevideoschools.org. Parents who coach their kids' team will be reimbursed half of the $60 fee. We will host game days on Saturday mornings. Expect game days to be doubleheaders. Games will be about an hour long with water breaks mixed in. The season will start September 12th and will go until October 10th. Exact times and locations of games are still TBD. If a gameday is cancelled for weather, it will not be made up.
