Major League BallYouth BallThe Major League program is open to boys and girls who were in Grades 4-6 during the 2025-2026 school year. The program includes in-town practices and games, and game days against MRVED towns. Coaches pitch in this program. More emphasis is put on learning fundamentals, playing games, and developing team skills. Bring your glove, bat, and cap. Plastic spikes can be worn – NO metal spikes. Please check the schedule that is handed out during the first week. Montevideo Diving CampAquaticsHave a fun time sticking, splashing, or smacking your way into the pool as you participate in this year’s Summer dive camp! This camp is a great opportunity for young athletes to become familiar with the sport of diving or for current divers to hone their skills before their next swim & dive season. These practices will follow immediately after our Montevideo Swim Club practices. Participants can expect to review many of the basic skills necessary to build a strong foundation for any diver while building up their strength and flexibility in the air and on the board. They will also be given advice and instruction that caters to their specific strengths and abilities. NFL Flag FootballFootballWe are excited to announce a partnership with the NFL to bring an official NFL Flag Football league to Montevideo open to boys and girls in grades 1-6. Participants will receive their own flag belt and set of flags along with their own reversible jersey. Footballs and playbooks will be provided. If you are interested in coaching a team, please reach out to Ethan Matvick, ematvick@montevideoschools.org. Parents who coach their kids' team will be reimbursed half of the $60 fee. We will host game days on Saturday mornings. Expect game days to be doubleheaders. Games will be about an hour long with water breaks mixed in. The season will start September 12th and will go until October 10th. Exact times and locations of games are still TBD. If a gameday is cancelled for weather, it will not be made up.
