Have a fun time sticking, splashing, or smacking your way into the pool as you participate in this year’s Summer dive camp! This camp is a great opportunity for young athletes to become familiar with the sport of diving or for current divers to hone their skills before their next swim & dive season. These practices will follow immediately after our Montevideo Swim Club practices. Participants can expect to review many of the basic skills necessary to build a strong foundation for any diver while building up their strength and flexibility in the air and on the board. They will also be given advice and instruction that caters to their specific strengths and abilities. Each diver should enter this camp with the goal of learning a handful of new dives and techniques before the end of the summer. **No camp July 4-10.** Tuesdays and Thursdays June 16-July 23 8:50 AM - 9:45 AM High School Pool

Preschool Shrimp: Recommended for ages 4&5, parents are NOT required to be in the water or stay for the lesson. Skills taught at this level include: water adjustment, breath control, floating, kicking, and basic paddle strokes. *Must pass Shrimp before signing up for Tadpole. $35

Preschool Tadpole: Recommended for ages 4&5, parents are NOT required to be in the water or stay for the lesson. Skills taught at this level include: front, back paddle and side paddle strokes, kicking, gliding, rhythmic breath control. Students will perform many skills unsupported and at greater distances. $35

Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it.

Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic propulsive skills on the front and back.

Stroke Development: Additional guided practice builds on skills learned in levels 1 & 2 will help students achieve water competency.

Stroke Improvement: Kids will gain confidence during swim lessons, improve their strokes and gain additional aquatic skills.

Level 5: Stroke Refinement: Guidance allows kids to refine their strokes and become more efficient swimmers. Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency: Students will learn to swim with ease and efficiency and gain the ability to swim smoothly over greater distances. Swimmers will also have the option to participate in more advanced courses.

Please note that the online registration looks a bit different this year. You may choose your section in regards to AM/PM. However, this is not a guarantee that we will be able to place them in your chosen section. We will try our best to accommodate but other factors such as evenly distributed classroom needs, will be considered. Please complete the eform with your second choice of class section. Children need to be fully potty trained and age 3 by September 1st for the 3/4 classroom or age 4 by September 1st for the 4/5 classroom. The $30 charge is a non-refundable registration fee. Calling all young performers! Join us for an exciting summer theatre experience as students bring The Lion King to life on stage. Participants will audition, rehearse, create, and perform in this fun and fast-paced production while learning valuable theatre skills, building confidence and teamwork along the way. Auditions for all students will be held on August 3. Participants will then be placed into one of two production groups based on grade level and role. Participants will spend the week learning songs, choreography, acting, and stage movement as they prepare for their performance. In addition to performing, students will help design and create set pieces, props, and lobby displays, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to put on a production. Actors will be given an opportunity to participate in BOTH weeks of the workshop in some capacity. At time of registration, please indicate the student’s willingness/availability to attend the second week of workshop and performances. This is optional and there is no additional cost for the second week. Each day participants will be bussed to Sanford Elementary for the FREE lunch program. Get a headstart on your band journey with summer band lessons. Perfect for those starting out, lessons provide a fun and supportive environment to learn the basics of your chosen instrument, from proper handling to playing simple melodies. These lessons will help you prepare for the start of school and whole band rehearsals. Beginning 6th grade band students will receive two 20 minute lessons each week with another student on the same instrument (6 lessons.) If space allows, developing 7th-8th grade students will receive one 20 minute private lesson each week (3 lessons.) The lesson sign up deadline is June 5.
