NewTee BallYouth BallTee Ball is the first level of organized baseball/softball for youth. Coaches will work with the children on the basic fundamentals. We use small bats, incrediballs, and hit off a tee. Games are modified to the age level. Children must be four years old by September 1, 2025 and have not attended kindergarten during the 2025-2026 school year. Tee Ball does not play against other communities. Please check the schedule handed out the first week. No ball July 4-10. **Must register by May 25th to receive a team t-shirt.**Summer 2026 -
NewTyke BallYouth BallTyke Ball will give children an opportunity to learn basic baseball/softball skills and have some fun playing games against other Montevideo teams. Youth will practice the fundamentals of baseball and hit a soft baseball pitched from a close distance. A tee shall be used after 3 swings. Tyke Ball does not play against other communities. Please check the schedule that is handed out during the first week. No ball July 4-10. **Must register by May 25th to receive a team t-shirt.**Summer 2026 -

The program includes in-town practices and games, and game days against MRVED towns. Baseball/softball fundamentals will be taught and participants will develop team play concepts. Coaches pitch in this program. Bring your glove, bat, wear a cap, and get ready for some ball! Please check the schedule that is handed out during the first week. No ball on June 16 or July 4-10. **Must register by May 25th to receive a t-shirt.** Practices: Softball Complex, Fields 1 and 2 (412 South 13th Street) Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 9-July 23 10:00 - 11:00 AM Games (Local and Away): Tuesdays, June 23, 30, July 14, 21 Approximately 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (guaranteed minimum of two games per game day) Notify Community Ed. the day before a scheduled game if your child is not attending. More emphasis is put on learning fundamentals, playing games, and developing team skills. Bring your glove, bat, and cap. Plastic spikes can be worn – NO metal spikes. Please check the schedule that is handed out during the first week.
